It’s a small, cozy restaurant, and I absolutely love their food. Everything on the menu is delicious, and their yogurt drink (a salted fermented yogurt beverage) is amazing. I think it’s fermented. Most importantly, they’re open late, which I love.
Mm! If you want to be served Turkish black tea by handsome Turkish men—this is the place! The falafel wrap was delicious but the pita way too hard though. The spicy vegetable dip was too chunky and the spices didn’t blend well. I have had better Mediterranean veggie dip at Koshari Mama in Somerville. The vibes in this place were immaculate, though—they played such fun, lively Turkish music that my friends and I made a new playlist for the weekend just from their songs. The tea was delicious and so was the Chicken Adana was juicy, soft, flavorful—the rice, salad—everything so good (just not the pita wrap )! Will definitely try this place again!
This is as good as it gets. Shakir and the rest of the Ali Baba family, thank you for going above and beyond. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
I advise everyone to visit it, especially the Arab community. The food is delicious and clean, and they have amazing ayran. They have amazing Kunafa.
Absolutely delicious Turkish food. Reminds me of home. Rustic homestyle cooking. No fancy, haute cuisine at Ali Baba; just no-nonsense, authentic, delectable Turkish food. Star of the meal is the perfect Lahmacün. If you can get a charcoal grilled pepper with it and some yoghurt on the side, or even without, I promise you it will be one of the best things you'll have in good while. What's more beautiful than supporting a local restaurant that makes amazingly delicious food? Oh, and don't forget to complete the meal with a pistachio-decorated Künefe, it might just be the best one in town.
They let us sit here after we had ordered at El Triunfo next door (which had no seating). They also offered to clean up after us and let us use their restroom! This was unbelievably nice of them. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, and fairly roomy for a little place in Boston. I live about 400 miles from Boston, but I hope I can come back. The grape leaves were excellent. I would have liked to have tried more (but had just ordered dinner). The food looked fantastic.
The soup was amazing and the lahmacun was very delicious! The atmosphere feels just like real places in Turkey, and the waiter was very polite and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant!
